Hi, I’m Wilda Nilsson

I’m an adventure bike driver, creative outdoor enthusiast, structure-loving achiever, countryside-dwelling German Shepherd owner and soldier who loves to teach outdoor and survival skills.

About this outdoor blog and me

My blog is for anyone who loves outdoor activities and adventures. I want to encourage readers to spend more time outside and to enjoy everyday micro-adventures as well as far away journeys and expeditions.

The blog features survival guides, outdoor technique instructions, gear reviews and many stories from my own hikes, drives and more.

Why the outdoors and survival skills?

I’m a soldier (and recruit instructor) in the Swedish Armed Forces and I’m currently in training to become an army officer. But my passion for being outside and to teach started way, way back.

Ever since I was young I have been passionate about outdoor activities. From the age of 15 I have participated in roughly 8 survival courses with instructors from the army, I’m a river rafting guide and I’ve gone trough wilderness first aid training in addition to serving (and being trained) in the armed forces.

Thus I am passionate about helping people learn basic skills that will make their stay in nature more enjoyable as well preparing them for potential emergency situations.
